Friday, July 19 is Amana Day

You will tour the historic sites of the Colonies with an knowledgeable and entertaining guide in a 14 passenger van. The afternoon can be spent browsing the shops, wineries, and unique galleries in the Amana Colonies. That evening you will enjoy the tastes of old Amana recipes at the communal dinner and presentation in the Communal Kitchen Museum of Middle Amana

Saturday, July 20 is Kalona Day

After breakfast at Die Heimat, you will drive to Kalona and experience a Farm Tour that includes various Amish farms and practices. The tour guide can answer your questions and tell you stories of the community. You will have the afternoon to explore Amish stores, the Kalona Museum and Mennonite Historical Museum etc. The day will end with a hearty meal in a Mennonite home in rural Kalona, before heading back to Die Heimat for the night.

Sunday, July 21 You are welcomed to attend the 40- minute church service in Middle Amana at 10:00.

Experience the tranquility of the simple building with plain wooden benches. Listen to beautiful acapella singing and the reading of the inspired leaders of the past, as well as a short meditation by one of the present-day elders.

Package includes: three nights stay at our inn, three full breakfasts for two, two dinners for two people, two tours (two hours in length) for two people. All this for $690 for two people sharing a room.
